Committees are created to research and complete specific tasks on behalf of the Association. Committees can be either standing, they are permanent and continue their work year to year, or are ad hoc in which they are created for a time and dissolved when their task is done.

Purpose
The Convention Committee meets to plan the convention that goes with the Annual General Meeting. They select the site, plan for speakers, select the meals, and arrange for the set up of convention.

Purpose
The Liaison Committee works with the Division to bring up the concerns and opinions of teachers. A representative group of Association members and group of division leadership meet several times throughout the year in the spirit of collaboration to problem solve.

Purpose
The Resolution Committee assists members in the creation of resolutions for either the Federation's Spring Meeting of Council or the Association's Annual General Meeting. They also serve to vet resolutions and to pass a recommendation to the Executive as to whether to sponsor a resolution on the part of the Assocation.
Any member may request assistance in drafting a resolution. The committee will assist regardless of their personal views of the resolution. This is not an endorsement of the idea, rather a part of their duty.
Ideas that are illegal, violate charter rights, violate teacher professional ethics, or could be considered a route to hate will not be assisted.

Purpose:
The Policy and Governance committee is tasked with reviewing the consitution, policies, and procedures of the Association. They are also tasked with the development of training materials and training the Executive.

Dissolved - November 26th, 2024
Purpose:
The Policy Renewal Committee was established in the 2024/2025 school year to refresh the Association's policies after the constitutional renewal was completed. They will research, draft, and propose policy and procedure changes to the Executive for approval. The committee presented its final report to the Executive on November 26th. The report was accepted and the committee superseded by the Policy and Governance Committee.

Purpose:
The Rebranding Committee was struck in the 2024/2025 school year to look at new logos and branding as related to the Association. It delivered its final report on November 26th to the Executive. The report was accepted and the rebranding committee was dissolved.
